Cat® C0.5 industriel dieselmotor har i denne version en effekt på 4,1-6,4 kW ved 2.000-2.800 o/min, hvilket overholder U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emission standarden. Ved omdrejninger på 2.800-3.600 o/min yder motoren 8,2-10,2 kW hvilket kan anvendes i EU og afhængig af lokale emissionskrav også på andre regulerede markedet - samt naturligvis på ikke-regulerede markeder. Motorer med en effekt på under 19 kW, der ikke er beregnet til brug på vejen, er for øjeblikket ikke underlagt emissionskrav i EU. Maskiner hvori C0.5 motorer anvendes omfatter bl.a. små nødstrømsanlæg, motoriserede tromler, mobile lystårne udstyr, plæneklippere og andet haveudstyr - samt en masse andre små OEM-maskiner hvor der er behov for en kompakt og solid motor.
